These handmade earrings are simple but stunningly beautiful. Each earring has a fine silver oval drop stamped with the Chinese character. I added hand-forged artisan ear wires from square Argentium sterling silver wire. Since they are just silver, they will look good with just about any color in your wardrobe.

I made the oval drops out of fine silver metal clay (PMC). Metal clay is made out of microscopic bits of metal, in this case, fine silver, mixed with an organic binder that makes it like clay. After I form the components, imprint the DREAM character and sand any rough edges they are fired in the kiln. The high temperatures burn out all the organic material and only the metal is left! Because I individually make each component by hand, there will be slight variations in each one.
Fine silver is 99.9% pure silver. It doesn't tarnish as easily as sterling silver, which is 92.5% pure silver. However sterling silver is stronger. Argentium sterling silver is also 92.5% silver, but the other 7.5% has a different composition. Because of this it doesn't tarnish as much as regular sterling and is also more hypo-allergenic. For example, I can wear Argentium sterling ear wires, but I am allergic to regular sterling.
I made these ear wires out of square 20 gauge wire. The 20 gauge is a normal thickness for quality ear wires. However, I think the fact that this is square wire makes it thicker when it goes through your ears. I made the ear wires into an oval shape to match the oval shape of the DREAM dangles. You can also get optional normal ear wires.
I have a pair of these, and these wires feel thick when I put them in and it feels like they are stretching my earholes a little bit. (But they look awesome!) However, my ears were pierced by a sewing needle, so they might be smaller than normal. If you are concerned that the square ones might be too thick, choose either the basic or leverback option.
